Muviz ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Elad Rubinstein, an individual developer. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your choices — in plain language.
The short version
- We collect only what's needed to run your account and the app's features.
- We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
- You can delete your account and data at any time.
Data we collect

| Push notification token | A device token used only to deliver notifications you've enabled. Stored only if you grant notification permission. |
We do not collect precise location, contacts from your address book, health or fitness data, financial or payment information, or any browsing or search history from outside the app.
How we use your data
- To provide core features: accounts, watchlists, friends, and watch parties.
- To personalize your discovery feed based on the titles you save and your genre preferences.
- To send notifications you've opted into (e.g. upcoming releases, friend requests, party invites).
Your swipe and viewing preferences used to tune the feed are stored on your device and are not used to track you elsewhere.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted services to run the app. They process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage (your account, content, and avatar).
- Expo — app delivery and push notification routing.
- The Movie Database (TMDB) — movie and show information, images, and trailers. Searches you perform are sent to TMDB to return results. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only with the service providers above, as needed to operate the app, or where required by law.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@muviz.app, or by using the account-deletion option in the app where available. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request.
Children
Muviz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our service providers using industry-standard protections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@muviz.app.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
